I had a lot on my plate.
No, I'm not referring to this plate. I'm referring to the week before which was both physically and emotionally draining. Life just reached a new low. If the turmoil wasn't enough already, I also had a lot to deal with, at the workplace. Oh and those memes about January coming to an end did no good! Thankfully that time has passed now.
Although the bygone week appears a bit hazy now, but I remember this one time when I was walking back home with my earphones plugged in and that's when it struck me. I've been through a lot. Like a lot, lot. Yet I've made out alive. Every single time I broke, I managed to survive that. And the saddest part was, I've not given myself enough credit for defying those odds. Not advocating narcissism here, but self love has always had a back seat.
Have you ever wondered why? I'm sure you have battles of your own. Have you stopped for a moment and praised yourself for whatever is it that you've overcome? Have you consoled your heart for once and acknowledged its efforts? Do you realize every time you've been shattered, disappointed, ridiculed, devastated and dazed, you've only come out stronger than before?
If not, do that right away. You deserve your love as well.
Oh and Shanti fed me this litti chokha the other day. It was hella tasty.
