Today I am feeling internally and more so externally #strongaf . These last few days have been tough, but the kind of wake up I needed. I pulled a tarot card yesterday, balance, upside down. I built my happiness almost purely on movement. A yoga practice every day, skiing 160+ days a year, mountain activities from biking, hiking, trail running most every other day, with climbing and surfing in any free time left. I only rested (or slept) when my body broke down. I focused on asana too much, not enough yoking of the whole, not enough mindfulness. Tearing the back of my knee post-op felt like having movement taken away again. It's a perfect example of the need for self care. I had skipped a few days of e-stim/ self massage. I can't skip things anymore. I am in the process of re-harmonizing my life. There will be imbalances, but there will also be a lot strength, introspection, and beauty along the way. Big thanks to @southpawsully for workout inspiration, and @compexusa, @rocktape, @procompression, and @yogabodyfitness for props to help recovery. I'm going to be a stronger, more balanced (almost) every day athlete. Recently, I’ve learned that a healthy life is a long life. Losing close family members, including my mother and uncle, drove this point home. I knew I wasn’t taking great care of myself; I felt weighed down and held back by the extra pounds. I was tired and didn’t feel like my best self. When 2017 began, I told myself that this was my year. I was ready for some big changes, to create a new and improved me. I knew I would need a game plan to make those #goals  a reality. That’s where the Trim Up came in.

I wanted to be strategic about this challenge, so I went all in: researching #healthy  meals, developing workout routines, taking time to do meal prep, looking up effective #exercises  online and in magazines, staying on top of the latest #fitness  trends. I wanted to do this right to give myself the best chance at success. I printed out some before pictures of myself and hung one at my house and one at work, and kept one in my gym bag. That gave me constant #motivation .

Happy Friday 🤗

Na wie war eure Woche so?

Meine war recht ereignisreich in Bezug zu Jobs und Sport. Montag, Mittwoch und Donnerstag habe ich das erste Mal eine Grundschulgruppe geleitet. Zweimal Trampolinspringen und einmal Ball- und Fangspiele. Ich fande es super und die Kleinen sind ja mal richtig süß! Zumindest wenn sie rumhüpfen und spielen dürfen 😅😈. Ich selbst war dann gestern auch auf dem Trampolin und beim Turnen und Parcours. Ein paar Einblicke findet ihr in meiner Story 😊💪. Dehnen war vorm und nach dem Training für mich natürlich auch drin. Die Dehnübung auf dem Foto mache ich sehr gerne. Sie dehnt die innere Oberschenkelmuskulatur auf und trainiert die Beweglichkeit in der Hüfte. Wenn man sich dann noch mit dem Oberkörper nach vorne lehnt und die Arme weit nach vorne streckt wird der gesamte Rücken aufgedehnt (Foto folgt nächste Woche)❤
